My Purses in the Press

I am so excited that two of my purses are in the Spring '09 issue of INSIDE WEDDINGS magazine on newstands now! They are featured on page 50 along with other well known handbag designers.

The Mae Feather purse has been incredibly popular and is on sale for $58 for as long as the magazine remains on the newstands. It is available in diamond white, ivory or black. The other clutch is called Danielle White Crystal and is available as shown or can be custom dyed in any color to coordinate with bridesmaid dresses, mothers dresses, prom dresses etc.

This is the 3rd time that my bags have appeared in INSIDE WEDDINGS magazine, thanks to the magazine's wonderful editor, Martine Aerts-Niddam. I am forever grateful to her for this amazing opportunity for my growing company.

You can check out all the other Press my bags have received over the course of my 4 years in business by visiting my website at http://www.leighannkline.com/.

Tea Parties and Purses

I made a purse for my friend Christin's niece, Caitlin, who was a flower girl in her wedding. It was a sophisticated bag for such a little girl at the time, but she looked adorable carrying it. Now she is a little bit older and has put it to good use once again, at a birthday tea party for her cousin. Her mom, Karyn, keeps the bag tucked away for special occasions such as this.

Custom Designed Handbags for Friend's Wedding

Christinweddingbags_4

I made these bags for my friend Christin's wedding. They came out so pretty and looked just beautiful with her gown and her bridesmaid ensembles.

I was so thrilled to be able to make bags for Christin's wedding, since I was the one who set her up with my husband's friend, Chip. How many times do you play matchmaker and the results end up like this? Certainly not many. I met Christin when we were homeroom moms for our sons, Bennett & Jordan, in Kindergarten. She had been divorced for a few years and our friend Chip, who has been friends with my husband Bill for over 30 years, was also divorced with two young girls. I thought it would be fun to introduce the two of them. My husband, Bill, swears he was responsible, so I'll just let him believe that. Isn't it funny how when something works out, everyone wants to be the one who was responsible?

The bag above is Christin's wedding bag.

The two below are the bridesmaids bags carried by Chip's daughters, Madison & Taylor. We did a different bag for each girl.
